Environmental Policy
Martin Jonkers Motors (The Company) environmental policy is aimed at ensuring that the relevant environmental laws and regulations are complied with and that the protection of the environment is enhanced by keeping impacts to a minimum in a sustainable financially regarding and technically feasible manner.
Martin Jonkers Motors and Toyota Australia are committed to the highest standard of environmental management and governance and Toyota Australia is certified to the ISO 14001 standard.
In line with the environmental policy statement, we will:
- Ensure that the company’s licensed environmental activities are managed and operated within acceptable environmental impacts.
- Promote the interchange of environmental information in order that hazardous products are transported, stored, used, treated and disposed of in an environmentally responsible manner.
- Require that all departments, independent operators and contractors on the company’s sites comply with this policy.
- Encourage and support continues improvement in environmental performance through the application of best environmental practice principals.
- Facilitate and enhance the decision-making process through the participation of the company’s stakeholders in the decision-making process with respect to the environmental management issues on the company’s sites.
- Promote the public interest by supporting projects which are designed to provide solutions to environmental problems in order to improve the sustainability of the overall environment.
